Chief Donald “Jamey” Mills joined the Milford Police Department as a police officer in 1994. In 1999, he assumed the responsibility of accreditation manager and guided the agency through three C.A.L.E.A. assessments. In 2000, he was promoted to the rank of sergeant and served four years as a patrol supervisor and seven years as supervisor of the investigative unit. In January 2011, he was promoted to Chief of Police. Chief Mills is a 1990 graduate of Milford High School and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati. He is a graduate of the 30th Session of the Police Executive Leadership College (PELC) and the 9th Session of the Certified Law Enforcement Executive’s Course (CLEE). Chief Mills also serves as an adjunct instructor at the University of Cincinnati in the areas of police administration and criminal investigation.
