income tax rate is 1%.
Milford City
Council approved the contract with the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.)
to administer our municipal income
tax effective January 1, 2007. To obtain

R.I.T.A.
will enforce our local income tax ordinance and provide enhanced services
such as the ability to electronically file your tax returns. R.I.T.A. will also
provide residents with the ability to calculate their tax liability, pay
electronically using major credit or debit cards, paperless returns, and
faster refunds along with a self-service 24-hour automated telephone line.
R.I.T.A.
is a non-profit government agency established almost 35 years ago under Chapter
167 of the Ohio Revised Code. Their goal is to enhance
cooperation
between municipalities through the sharing of facilities. R.I.T.A. currently
serves 120 municipalities in 38 counties throughout the State of Ohio.
The
City will retain a Milford staff member in the event taxpayers require
local assistance at 745 Center Street, Suite 200 Milford, Ohio 45150 or
by calling 513-248-5082. Taxpayers will receive a letter from R.I.T.A.
that
will provide general tax instructions as well as additional information
regarding this transition.
